With your Honey Homes membership, you get paired with one dedicated handyman who you can schedule for up to two visits (1 hr and 45 mins per visit) each membership month. You can combine these into one 3.5 hour visit pending availability. Your handyman will complete jobs on your to-do list, perform proactive maintenance, and guide you with suggestions to keep your home working hard. All handyman labor is included and there is no per visit fee for your regular handyman visits. Please note that visits do not roll over from month to month. Membership price depends on your location, and starts at $246/month for an annual plan, and $295/month for a monthly plan. If you'd like us to purchase parts on your behalf, we are able to do that as well for a nominal shopping fee tied to a visit.For bigger jobs that require a specialist or crop up unexpectedly, Honey Homes can source vendors and coordinate the process for you. Please note that the cost of the specialty vendor will be passed on to you. The same also applies to built-in appliances. Honey Homes’ handymen and handywomen can complete minor electrical and plumbing jobs, as well as standard handyman tasks around the house that can be completed in less than 1.5 hours per job.Our handymen can typically complete 95% of tasks themselves. When a job does require a specialist, we’ll connect you to the right vendor and coordinate the process on your behalf. Every handyman undergoes a thorough vetting process for quality, service and friendliness, including a background check and hands-on assessment. We also provide regular training opportunities. Our handymen have several years of experience in the industry, take pride in their work, and enjoy working with homeowners.
Yes, there is a "Give $150, Get $150" referral program. Members can receive a $150 credit for every new member they refer that signs up for a Honey Homes membership. The credit will be applied to their next invoice(s) from Honey Homes. You can refer a friend or neighbor from your “Profile” tab in the Honey Homes mobile app.
Members can book their handyman up to two times in their membership month. Visits are 1 hour and 45 minutes long, with the last 10-15 minutes of time devoted to clean up and task documentation in the app. Pending availability, you can combine your two visits into one longer 3.5 hour visit. You’ll also have your handyman and our team available on the app for questions of any kind, anytime. If you need more visits in a given membership month, you can book additional 1 hour and 45 minute visits for $150. If you need additional visits or a visit that requires 2 handymen, you can book these for an extra fee to cover labor costs.
At your 45-minute free home walk-thru, you'll meet your handyman and review the items on your to-do list. He or she will be upfront about what can be completed by them, and where we'll have to coordinate a specialist. You'll get a great sense of the value you'd receive from Honey Homes. There is no obligation or credit card required. As soon as your walk-thru is booked, you can download the Honey Homes app and start adding to your to-do list. You’ll be able to log into the app using your phone number.After your walk-thru, if you'd like to join, please book your first visit from the "Schedule" tab of the app, or let us know and we can help. You'll be asked to choose between our monthly or annual plan at that time. Your handyman will arrive wearing booties, ready to tackle your to-do's.
Your Honey Homes handyman will come prepared with basic parts needed for everyday small tasks (nails, basic caulk, etc). For larger parts or materials required, you have the option of purchasing those yourself or having us research and purchase these on your behalf. If you choose the latter, we’ll add a nominal $10 shopping fee to cover the cost of researching and purchasing parts. This fee is fixed (not a percentage) and charged per visit requiring parts (not per part). For parts more than $100, we will also ask for approval to purchase in the app.Please note that for parts and materials that you will be looking at or touching every day (e.g. a new kitchen faucet), we suggest you pick it out yourself. We’re happy to provide advice as needed.
Honey Homes will design a customized home maintenance plan unique to your home, including over 10 home maintenance tasks important to keeping your home safe and functional. For most locations, a Honey Homes membership costs $2,950 ($246/mo) for an annual membership and $295/mo for a monthly membership.
